"Stay Together For The Kids" is a single by the American pop-punk band blink-182, released in 2001 as the second single from their fourth studio album, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. The song was written by members Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus, and was produced by Jerry Finn. The song is about a family going through tough times, and the narrator urging them to stay together. The song is told from the perspective of a child in a broken home, and it deals with issues such as divorce, neglect and emotional abuse. Musically, the song is comprised of a driving punk-rock beat, distorted electric guitars and melodic vocals. The song was a commercial success, peaking at number four on the US Modern Rock Tracks chart. It was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 2002.
