"San Luis" is a song by American singer-songwriter Gregory Alan Isakov. It was released on his 2019 album Evening Machines. The song is written from a first-person perspective and is about a narrator's journey to the small Colorado town of San Luis, in search of a new start. The lyrics are somber and reflect on a sense of loneliness, but also hope for a fresh start. Musically, the song is a romantic folk ballad with gentle fingerpicking guitar accompanied by strings, pedal steel, and percussion. The production of the song was handled by Gregory Alan Isakov and Ari Picker of Lost in the Trees. It was recorded in Colorado and North Carolina, and was engineered and mixed by Trina Shoemaker.

"Caraphernelia" is a song by the American rock band Pierce The Veil. It was released as the lead single from their second studio album, Selfish Machines, in April 2010. The song was produced by Mike Green and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge. The song is about being in love with someone who is emotionally unavailable, and is a metaphor for the Greek mythological figure, Pandora. The lyrics and music are meant to convey a feeling of desperation in the face of an unrequited love. Musically, it is an anthemic rock song with heavy guitars, driving drums, and an infectious chorus. The song also features a brief interlude of strings and a spoken-word bridge.
